Dave Teeters started out with rebuilding damaged aircraft and transferred his skills to the reconstruction of WWII aircraft and Warbird restoration.

Airmotive Specialties, Inc. has extensive tooling, equipment and fixtures for many aircraft components and is constantly building tooling as required to produce a quality product. This tooling ranges from die blocks to form ribs and bulkhead, to fixtures, which hold wings and other smaller components while being assembled, to ensure their proper alignment.

The ASI Team has the ability to fabricate nearly any structural item needed to repair any aircraft and will fabricate spars and any substructure that is required. The ASI Team takes pride in building structures to factory tolerances and installing newly fabricated replacement components rather than just splicing components.

The ASI Team rebuilds all subassemblies and components such as flaps, ailerons, horizontal and vertical stabilizers to the original manufacture’s specification that are placed in fixtures for alignment during construction when applicable.

Dave Teeters has over 30 years of experience in rebuilding and restoration of classic and Warbird aircraft.  With major emphasis on the North American P51 Mustang, The ASI Team has rebuilt everything from parts and components through major structures and full restorations.  Currently ASI is one of the few companies that has a wing and other structural fixtures for P51 Mustangs.  Dave Teeters has been involved with many award-winning restorations of aircraft that have participated in Oshkosh, Sun N Fun Grand Champions and Watsonville, California including 3 Golden Wrench Awards, 4 Grand Champions and various Awards throughout the years.
